Standards and Ethics – Our Promise to You

We feel strongly that the highest of ethical standards should apply to every business; and ours is no exception.  For this reason, we promise:

1.      In our capacity as a llama owner and breeder, we will treat everyone who comes to us with respect, dignity, fairness and honesty.  In other words, we’ll treat people as we ourselves would wish to be treated.
2.      We will willingly share any knowledge and experience we may have gleaned with prospective and new owners/breeders.  We will endeavor at all times to either provide people with factual answers to their questions and concerns or refer them to someone who has more experience and who is more likely able to assist them.
3.      We will make a full and complete disclosure of any facts known to us concerning any animals sold from the Very Little Llama Farm which might adversely affect the price a buyer is willing to pay for that animal.
4.      We will, at all times, refrain from doing or saying anything which might adversely affect the business or reputation of our fellow owners/breeders.  However, if asked specifically about a farm/individual, we will speak the truth of our experience.
5.      We will at all times promote our business in a positive way so as to bring credit to us, our business, the national associations to which we are members, and our fellow owners/breeders.

We at the Very Little Llama Farm feel very strongly that a written contract should be used for the sale of all livestock.  This is for the protection of both the Buyer and the Seller.   Our standard contract – see below – can, of course, have variations in order to accommodate a specific situation.  If we say it, we’ll stand behind it, AND we’ll put it in writing!  Remember, your rights can only be protected if you have a written and signed
